TN类签证是北美自由贸易协定（NAFTA）下的工作签证，它允许加拿大和墨西哥公民来美展开商业活动。相较于美加间免签通行条款（12个月内可居留6个月），TN签证不仅支持加拿大公民（以及墨西哥公民）在美国拥有一次性更长的停留时间，并且可以从事专业性质工作。
TN签证类型
TN签证首先要求申请人必须是加拿大或墨西哥公民，其次从事的工作应为自由贸易协定下指定的内容。一般来说，会要求申请人在申请时已经拿到工作offer（即聘书）。TN签证一般为3年，并有机会延长一年。能够延期的条件是在原籍拥有房产，能够证明有计划回国的打算。
TN签证允许的职业一般为专业工作、医疗领域工作、科学领域工作及教育工作。除非特殊说明，否则要求这些工作都需要本科学士学位以上学历：
专业类
- Accountant 会计师 — Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree; or C.P.A., C.A., C.G.A., or C.M.A. 学士学位或执照学位；或持有CPA、CA、CGA或 CMA证书
- Architect建筑师 — Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree; or state/provincial license 学士学位或 Licenciatura 学位；或州/省许可证.

TN签证持有者的家人同样可以申请相应的陪伴签证，拥有通常长时间的在美居留权。要求类似其他签证的陪伴签证，必须是伴侣及未满21岁子女，签证名义是TD签证。持有TD签证的家人也同样必须是加拿大或墨西哥公民。
TD签证允许家庭成员在美期间接受教育，但不能参加工作。
